FLOCK HEAT TRANSFER SYSTEM
Lancer's Super Flock is a complete transfer system for applying flock designs to a variety of fabrics and substrates. Super Flock has an 8 mil height that yields a beautiful, high loft transfer that is 60% higher than traditional flock. Flock transfers have excellent washability, and will adhere to cotton, cotton/polyester blends. polyester, acrylic s, denim, and many other surfaces. Not suitable for water-proofed materials. Sheets are 15 x 21"
PRINTING METHODS:
One Step Water Base Method: Print Aquabond Adhesive using light squeegee pressure and a soft squeegee printing like a flood stroke. A heavy deposit is required. Use 30 to 110 mesh and a waterproof stencil. Let air dry, then cure through a conveyer dryer at 325°F to 350°F. When cured, the Aquabond Adhesive will be a continuous film.
One Step Plastisol Method: Print 845 Adhesive onto flock paper using light pressure, leaving a heavy deposit. Use 80 to 110 mesh. Cure for one minute at 325?F.
Two Step Method (FT87 & H23 Transfer Powder): Print FT87 onto flock paper using light squeegee pressure, leaving a heavy deposit. After screening, apply H23 crystals. Shake off excess, then let air dry for 6 to 10 hours. Excess crystals not shaken off, must now be removed with a soft bristle brush. If not sufficiently removed, crystals will melt in the heat curing process and carry over during transfer. Cure through conveyer dryer at 325°F to 350°F. When properly cured, the crystals will appear as a continuous film.
Transferring: Use light pressure, and heat at 350°F for 10-20 seconds. (Thicker materials require more time.) Allow to cool down before peeling paper.

REFLECTIVE FILM
A printable reflective transfer system with 3M Scotchlite® material.
Features: Extremely high reflectivity and excellent durability for life of garment whitch retain reflectivity after repeated washings when applied properly. The Flash-Trans Reflective Transfer System can provide reflecting power similar to reflective transfer tapes while also allowing printers the ability to create custom decorated reflective designs. The Reflective Transfer System is a user friendly system consisting of 3M Scotchlite® Reflective Transfer Film, transfer adhesive and coupling Agent. Transfers made with this system and applied properly will typically retain reflectivity and aesthetic appeal for the life of the garment depending upon actual use, exposure conditions and maintenance
Opacity: Flash-Trans transfers are opaque and can be applied to 100% cotton or polyester blended garments of any color, with excellent day and night visibility. Transfers will appear a silver color when viewed in daytime conditions.
Mesh: Best results are achieved with polyester monofilament meshes in the 110-156 (43-62 metric) range.
Stencils: Use any direct emulsion or capillary film compatible with plastisol inks.
Additives: None recommended. When Flash-Trans Transfer Adhesive is mixed with Flash-Trans Coupling Agent the mixed ink will thicken when not in use. However, it will regain an easy printing viscosity when stirred or during the printing process.
Mixing Instructions: Thoroughly mix 100 parts of Flash-Trans Transfer Adhesive with 4 parts of Flash-Trans Coupling Agent by eight to make a workable printing solution. Use mixed adhesive within one hour of mixture. For optimal washfastness, it is critical that the Flash-Trans Coupling Agent be 4-6% of the total mixture. Because of this, it is highly recommended that the components be weighed with a reliable scale. Caution: Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet as the Flash-Trans Coupling requires special handling.
Printing Instructions: Lightly spray the printing platen with a repositionable pressure sensitive spray adhesive and carefully place the transfer film backing side down against the platen. Apply a thin, uniform flood coat of the adhesive over the image. It is recommended for best results that the image be flood coated before the print stroke. Utilize screen mesh size and adjust speed of print stroke so that the gelled ink thickness is a approximately 3 mils in thickness.
Gel Instructions: The Flash-Trans Transfer Adhesive solution will not air dry and must be gelled or semi-cured prior to application to garment. Using a conveyor style oven with either an infrared or forced air heat source, adjust the belt speed and temperature so the semi-cured image is dry to the touch, does not smear and has a smooth, rubbery feel. An image that looks wet or has a halo around it is under-gelled and the belt speed and oven temperature should be recalculated. A starting guideline is for the temperature to be 200°-250°F at belt level with a dwell time of 30-45 seconds. Do not stack semi-cured transfers until they have cooled to room temperature. Do not overcure transfers as this will cause poor adhesion and affect the longevity of the finished decoration.
Transferring Instructions: Use a transfer machine with a flat surface where uniform heat and pressure may be applied. Transfer to garment at temperatures of 375°F for 15-20 seconds applying firm, 20-40 psi pressure. Allow transfer to cool to room temperature before removing the backing. Remove backing by firmly grabbing one corner and pulling diagonally in a continuous, smooth manner.
Caution: Exceeding transfer temperatures above 375° will make the backing difficult to remove. If higher temperatures are required for durability first apply the transfer at the recommended temperatures and then transfer again at the higher temperature using a slipsheet to protect the image. Always test the application prior to the production run.
Wash-Up: Clean screens and squeegees with mineral spirits or any screen wash designed for plastisol inks.
Storage: Store Flash-Trans Transfer Adhesive and Flash-Trans Coupling Agent at temperatures between 60°-90°F) Store 3M Scotchlite® Reflective Transfer Film at temperatures between 40°-90°F (4°-32°C). in a cool, dry area. For best storage results store sheets flat in the original shipping carton. Partially used rolls should either be stored in the original shipping carton or suspended horizontally through the core. Leftover pieces cut from a roll should also be stored flat.
Adhesives available in Qt, Gal, 5 Gal, and 55 Gal. drums.

FOIL
Our foils are a set of brilliant metallic foils especially selected for application to t-shirts and other garments. Using a transfer press, the foil is transferred to a garment that has been previously printed. Even though foil will adhere to many plastisol inks, and even some urethane and water based inks, optimum results are achieved when a foil adhesive is used. To apply, cut foil to the dedsired shape and place it color side up where you want the foil effect. If foil doesn’t cover the entire printed area, cover exposed plastisol with release paper to shield the hot platen surface.Transfer press should be set to between 325°-350°F with medium to high pressure for 10-15 seconds. If the transfer method (adhesive printed directly to foil) was used, transfer for 1-2 seconds at 325°-350°F with medium to high pressure. Allow foil to cool completely before peeling. Note: Foil decorated prints are not as durable as unfoiled prints. Some dulling of the foil over time is to be expected with normal wear and laundering. Minimize by hand laundering inside out with cool or lukewarm water, dryinging by hanging or laying flat. Do not dry clean. Rolls are 12" x 200"
