Description:

High-speed, high-opacity plastisol for printing Pantone® Colors on fabrics of any color! The MIXO Series allows the printer to mix color in the Pantone® Matching System. This is the most universally known color matching system. MIXO can be used on any color fabric right out of the can. It is easy to use, plus there are currently over 1000 colors in the Pantone® System. MIXO is the only plastisol licensed for black fabrics. Production won't be slowed by additional flash cure units or excessive build up under screens. A finished, ready to use ink (not a concentrate).

MIXO Series inks are being replaced by MIXE Series non-phthalate inks.

SPECIFICATIONS:

USES: For use on T-shirts, sweatshirts, jerseys, denim, banners and pennants. For cotton/polyester blends where bleeding may occur, use UPADM-1057 Premium Low Bleed White as a first down base.

OPACITY: Excellent on all shirt colors.

PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS:

Dark 100% Cotton Fabrics

The MIXO Series plastisols have been printed through meshes ranging from 60-175T (24-70 metric) monofilament with excellent opacity. Colors which are mixed according to MIX-OPAKE System formulations are designed to reproduce specific colors when printed through a 60T (24T metric) monofilament mesh on to black 100% cotton fabric, with no white underlay.

Dark Cotton/Polyester Blend Fabrics

or excellent results on cotton/polyester blended dark fabrics, use Union Ink's PAFC-1050 Fast Flash Low Bleed White or PADM-1057 Premium Low-Bleed White as the low-bleed underbase white. Overprint the MIXO Series colors through 86-175T (34-70T metric) monofilament mesh.

White or Light Colored Fabrics

Any MIXO Series plastisol color or mixture can also be mixed with the MIXO-9070 Transparent Base to reduce the opacity (and cost) and create an ink which will print and cover exceptionally well on white or light colored fabrics. The recommended addition of MIXO-9070 Transparent Base is 10-50% by weight, depending upon the color of the fabric and the desired softness and opacity of the finished print. Always pre-test before full production.

DRYING TIME: Inks will fully cure when entire ink layer reaches 300°F. Mixopaque will not air-dry in the screen. Note: Dryers may have to be set at 325°F to achieve a complete cure.

SCREEN FABRIC: In order to achieve the brilliance of the PANTONE Colors when printed on black fabrics with no white underlay, a 60T (24T metric) monofilament mesh is reccommeded. However, when printing on light fabrics, meshes from 86-230 are suitable.
